The Estate

A timeless retreat

Tenuta dei Poggi Alti commands over 500 hectares of pristine Tuscan landscape, where each vista tells its own story. From gentle hills draped with vineyards and olive groves to medieval villages that dot the horizon, the estate extends to where the pristine Lake Burano meets the Mediterranean Sea, creating a tapestry of unforgettable views.

Perfectly positioned just 6 kilometers from the medieval charm of Capalbio and equidistant from Rome and Siena (130km), our estate combines accessibility with seclusion. Guests can reach us within an hour and fifteen minutes from Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci International Airport or in forty-five minutes from Grosseto’s private airport, making the journey as convenient as it is scenic.

History

The story of Tenuta dei Poggi Alti begins in 18th century Alsace, where the de Dietrich family’s hunting tradition was formally established in December 1766 with the appointment of gamekeeper Henri-Louis Rech. Seeking to extend this noble heritage, the family discovered their ideal setting in the enchanting Tuscan Maremma, where tradition and innovation would flourish together.

From its inception, our estate has embodied three core principles: respect for tradition, commitment to style, and passion for the hunt. This foundation supports our mission to provide exceptional experiences in an environment where nature’s grandeur meets refined hospitality.

Our dedication to conservation shapes every aspect of estate management. Through careful stewardship of local fauna and flora, we ensure the preservation and enhancement of our unique ecosystem while offering guests an authentic connection to this remarkable landscape.

Today, Tenuta dei Poggi Alti stands as a beacon of excellence in the hunting world, attracting enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Our unique combination of historical significance, environmental stewardship, and unwavering commitment to excellence creates an experience that transcends the ordinary hunting retreat.
